Buenos Aires Governor Calls Mayors to Analyze Milei's Economic Plan

The governor of Buenos Aires Province, Axel Kicillof, has called 135 mayors from the province to a meeting at the Government House in La Plata. The objective is to analyze the impact of President Javier Milei's economic plan on the provincial and municipal finances. The meeting will take place this Thursday at 3:30 PM in the Golden Hall of the Governorate and will be broad in scope, as community leaders from all political spaces, both ruling and opposition, have been invited. According to the Argentine News Agency, the call was made under the slogan of debating the 'economic consequences of Milei's government on the productive and economic system' of Buenos Aires. In this context, it is expected that the meeting will evaluate the effect of national measures on the resources of the Province and the municipalities, in a context of tension due to falling income and the impact of the economic situation on activity. The meeting in La Plata will also seek to show a broad political picture with mayors of different party affiliations, amid differences between the Buenos Aires administration and the Casa Rosada over the economic course and the distribution of funds.
